Dhow Cruise

Dhow Cruise is, for me, the best activity to do in Qatar.

Below points I enjoyed the most during the cruise:
- sea breeze when the boat headed to the open sea
- jumping into the sea and swimming in the sea
- sunset view and the night view of towers in West Bay
- chatting, dancing, eating with fellows on the boat

I did several time, the last was in March 2016 (below photos).
The cost depends the number of participants, if we charter the whole boat.
Some companies can apply also tariff per person with meal included.
But the cheapest way is to bring your own food, and invite as many people as you can.

Dhow Cruise Rental Companies

Dhow cruise is one of the most enjoyable activities in Qatar.
Typically, it runs about 4 hours, departing from Dhow Harbour in the Corniche, next to Museum of Islamic Arts.
A lot of companies and travel agents provide the rent. Below is the list from my research in March 2016.
We can order meal, typically with BBQ, with additional cost, or we can bring the food ourselves since we use the BBQ set on the boat, or like we did, just brought snack and drink.
We can enjoy dancing and drinking and eating and chatting on the boat with friends.
The boat will stop nearby a small island, where we can jump and swim in the sea. Or rent a jetski.
