QF Art Trail at Georgetown University in Qatar

A new nice event to see the art works installed in various places in Education City.
Found about it in an article in below link and joined the session on 25 February 2017 to tour the art works inside Georgetown University in Qatar.
http://www.gulf-times.com/story/533514/QF-to-hold-guided-art-tours-in-Education-City
The tour was conducted by the QF curator, Ms. Leila.
Around 20 persons were in the tour.
I enjoyed the tour, giving a chance for public to watch the art works inside the university.

One of my favorite was the stalactites, lots of big stainless steel structure with shape like stalactites, hanging on the high ceiling of atrium (food court).
The other one was the pot clay huge 3D plate in the Majlis (VIP Room).

9 February 2017
The Rooftop at St. Regis Hotel

Beer and alcoholic drink was QAR 50, while softdrink was QAR 25.

First time coming this club.
The event was quite crowded though the entrance fee was QAR 200, not cheap.
So the crowd was high level expats, mostly western people.

The DJ ing was quite nice.
I arrived quite late about 11pm and the main DJ, Bob Sinclar was playing the music.
The DJ booth was quite close to audience, no gap between, so guests could even shake hand with the DJ.
Bob Sinclar closed his performance with his hit Love Generation.

Another DJ came in to replace Bob Sinclar at 1AM, and he was good too.

Michael Pangilinan Live

Michael Pangilinan Live
26 January 2017, 19:00
La Cigale Hotel
https://www.aynatickets.com/event/eventdetail/45
VIP: QAR 200 (bonus CD)
Regular: QAR 120

Though I didn't understand when they spoke Filipino, I was happy attending the concert.
Michael Pangilinan was multi talented, not only good in singing, but he was an excellent entertainer.
Couple of times he went down into the audience seats and he invited some people on the stage, not only girls, but also a gay guy at the end.

Though the flier said from 6pm, the show was actually started passed 8pm, with the raffle.
The opening acts was a dance by some Filipino kids living here.
Then a newcomer singer from the Philippines, Tony Labrusca, sung 2 songs.

Ooredoo Marathon 2017

http://www.gulf-times.com/story/527894/Kenyans-dominate-Ooredoo-Marathon

First time joined Ooredoo Marathon and was happy to participate.
The good feeling finishing the run was great.
Relatively well organized by Premier Online.
Only during the registration, the staff took time to find the race pack (an envelope) with my bib number, since they had to find it from boxes of envelopes.

Shreya Ghoshal Live

Shreya Ghoshal Live
13 January 2017, 18:00-23:00
ALI BIN HAMAD AL ATTIYAH ARENA
https://www.aynatickets.com/event/eventdetail/28

It was written from 18:00, but the first performer started at about 19:30, and the main singer appeared after 20:00.

Less than my expectation, there was no back dancer at all.
Only the singer and the live band.
A bit boring for me.

I think I was the only non-Indian audience there.

Happy to listen my favorite Bollywood song, Channa Mereya was performed by side male artist.
