Olive Oil at City Center Rotana Hotel

Last visits: 16 October 2016, dinner buffet
Taste: 3/5
Cost performance: 4/5
Location: City Center Rotana Hotel
Dinner buffet: QAR 119 (soft drink), 219 (alcoholic drink)

It might be cheap (considering its location in 5 star hotel), but the taste and variety of the food were so so.
The sushi (only roll sushi) was bad due to the rice not well cooked.
The lively prepared sesame tuna was good. But it was sold out later.
The lively prepared pasta was only cheese sauce, when I asked tomato sauce, the chef said it would be additional charge, but my dinner mate actually got the tomato sauce pasta.
Coffee and tea were additional cost.

I don't think I will return.

L'wzaar

Last visits: 22 July 2016, lunch
Taste: 4/5
Cost performance: 4/5
Location: Katara

It's a popular seafood restaurant. We tried to make reservation several times before, but was full.
While they have some items in the menu, we can just go to the market area, choose the displayed fish or other, and requested them to cook the way we want with their recommendation.

We went 5 persons, ordered grilled sherri fish (the cheapest fish in the display), another grilled smaller fish and green mussel 15 pieces from the market, then seafood paella from the menu, and paid QAR 400.

The service was good and the complimentary bread and its sauces were tasty too.
There are sushi bar corner, teppanyaki corner and several aquariums.

Eatopia

Visit: 23 June 2016, dinner
Taste: 4/5
Cost performance: 2/5
Location: The Gate Mall

They have good review in Zomato.
It is said they are unique, offering a new concept of restaurant.
It is like a food court, there are several food stations, we order by saying our table number, they will charge as per our order.
However, during Ramadan, they changed the system.
For the Iftar dinner, they only applied buffet all you can eat for QAR 165.
For me, the food was quite disappointing.
Shangri La's Sridan offers QAR 150 Iftar buffet with better quality.
The sushi corner was really disappointing, only small rolls were there.
I saw the sushi staff was preparing nigiri sushi, also he was holding tempura, but when I asked whether we could order, he said no, we could only choose from the roll sushi displayed.
The pasta corner was OK, they prepared custom order.
The desert corner was OK too. No fresh juice.
The rest was really not worth it the price, I think QAR 165 was overpriced.
However, I enjoyed the place, after finishing our dinner, we moved to outdoor sofa area, where we chatted, drank coffee and had dessert.
