Pearl Qatar is Qatar answer to Palm Jumeirah of Dubai.
It is a man made island, opened about 5 years ago, but till now still construction is ongoing.
I visited many times, but on 17 June 2016, it was my first time to stay there, in a room rented by my company in Porto Arabia Tower 1.
The shape is almost a circle, but it is not connected between the edges.
So, if you want to go from the first tower (Porto Arabia Tower 1) in one edge, to the last tower in the other edge, you have to walk about 1 hour following the Boardwalk, circling the inner lake, or drive about 10 minutes.
So many apartments and rooms there, made me always wonder whether there will be enough people to occupy those rooms and apartments.
Though you can find everything inside the island, due to its location, not near from the city, it is not convenient for commuting if you work outside the island.
Many shops and restaurants, most of them are at the expensive side.
In other words, it is a rich people place.
In the complex, there are 2 Spinneys supermarkets (more expensive than Carrefour or Lulu) and Cinema Novo (QAR 45, more expensive that other theaters like in City Center and Villaggio).
