Title: The Sultan
Price: QAR 230
Location: W Hotel
Visit: 2 July 2016, dinner
Taste: 5/5
Cost performance: 5/5
Booked just 2 hours before on the day, we got a sharing table.
My second gorgeous iftar dinner after Marsa Malaz.
So naturally I made comparison with Marsa Malaz.
The place is more congested, and lively, if not hectic, though the decoration was nice.
The food was awesome.
So many options and choices.
I listed some below.
- The sushi station was great.
There are tuna (maguro) and salmon sashimi, then lots of roll shushi, including the yummy crispy one.
- The arabic corner, featuring the famous chef Greg Malouf
There was a big whole salmon. Also shawarma, falafel, chicken mousaka.
- Asian noodle corner. Two chef making fried noodle at your choice. There is siumay in this corner.
- Indian corner. Nice dosa. But a few choices of curries.
- Italian pasta station with live cooking at your choice.
- Desert corner with 3 types of fondue including chocolate and strawberry fondue. Many cakes.
- Soup, Lentil Soup and Sweet Corn Soup.
- Rolling Ice Cream. This relatively new ice cream was there too, though the chef was not that expert making the roll.
- Crepe corner.
- Turkish ice corner, with the guy making fun of the guests with his ice cream offering.
We can order lots of drinks too from the menu.
So we (with D) were really satisfied with the food here.
