5 consecutive weekend I stayed in Doha, and 2 consecutive weekend stayed in Pearl.
Eatopia at The Gate Mall
Same as last week, I had dinner with my Japanese friend Ms Y.
She recommended 2 restaurants in Gate Mall, Eatopia and Vapiano, the Italian.
After looking at the reviews in Zomato, I chose Eatopia.
It was said they are unique, offering different concept of restaurant.
It is like a food court, there are several food station, we order by saying our table number, they will charge as per our order.
However, during Ramadan, they changed the system.
For the Iftar dinner, they only applied buffet all you can eat for QAR 165.
For me, the food was quite disappointing.
Shangri La's Sridan offers QAR 150 Iftar buffet with better quality.
The sushi corner was really disappointing, only small rolls were there.
I saw the sushi staff was preparing nigiri sushi, also he was holding tempura, but when I asked whether we could order, he said no, we could only choose from the roll sushi displayed.
The pasta corner was OK, they prepared custom order.
The desert corner was OK too. No fresh juice.
The rest was really not worth it the price, I think QAR 165 was overpriced.
However, I enjoyed the place, after finishing our dinner, we moved to outdoor sofa area, where we chatted, drank coffee and had dessert.
Cafe Arts at The Pearl
There is seating inside and outside.
The interior was nice.
Ordered coffee called "Mojito Mint", just they put mint in the coffee latte.
Opal by Gordon Ramsay at St.Regis Hotel
Again this week I had lunch here.
Chose Salad as the starter, and Salmon as the main dish.
Had chance to walk outside, watching the pool and the beach.
It's a big square pool.
Cafe Murano at Marsa Malaz Hotel
Nicely decorated luxury cafe inside the luxury Kempinski's Marsa Malaz hotel.
The cafe opens all day during Ramadan, we were relaxing here having afternoon tea before having massage.
We ordered one Hi-Tea Set which included 2 drinks, and since we were four, we added 2 more drinks.
We got the seat with the big comfortable sofa in the corner.
The set was not that much.
But I loved the place, will return.
Royal Thai Men Spa
During Ramadan, on Fridays they open at 6pm.
This time I got Chai for Thai Massage (QAR 130).
Patchi at Landmark Plaza
One colleague wanted to buy souvenir before he went for Leave to Japan, so we visited this chocolate shop.
Though I don't feel it is special, a lot of Japanese people like it, and they are always happy when we bring Patchi as a souvenir.
Patchi, originally from Lebanon, is expensive chocolate.
The most economic way is to buy in grams.
The smallest box is 300 grams for QAR 75.
Noodle House at Landmark Plaza
This yummy but not cheap Asian food restaurant.
There was Iftar set menu for QAR 69, but we just saw it after we ordered.
We ordered Prawn Wasabi, Nasi Goreng, Singapore Fried Noodle, Curry Laksa, and Rendang (comes with white rice).
