Recently more and more cinemas are opened in Qatar.
The biggest player is a company named Qatar Bahrain Cinema Company, with theaters in City Center, Villagio and the newest and the largest in Gulf Mall.
The ticket is QAR 35 for normal movies, QAR 45 for 3D movies, and QAR 55 for IMAX movies in Vilagio.
I always order Caramel Popcorn (small QAR 12) and Diet Pepsi without Ice (QAR 12).
Sometimes nachos too, if I go with friends.
Another smaller company, run cinemas in 2 malls, Landmark Plaza and The Mall.
I have been once in Landmark Plaza, the cinema was so small, didn't like it.
Another company runs luxury cinema in Pearl Qatar, called Novo (https://novocinemas.com/Home.aspx).
The ticket is more expensive, i.e. QAR 45 for normal movies.
Currently they opened also at 01 Mall.
I went several times to the Pearl cinemas, but don't really like it, it was very cold and small.
The IMAX is smaller too, not worth it the price.
The popcorn is more expensive too.
There are few more, at Asia Town mall, Royal Plaza and other places, but I think they cater for blue collar workers from South Asia.
I watch movie almost every weekend. I like Bollywood movies too. While Hindi movies have English subtitle, other Indian movies like Telugu or Tamil language movies don't have English subtitle. Be careful, I did it before.
